Let's continue on, yes?
We stayed in Barcelona for about 3 days before setting off for our cruise. Our cruise ship was the Royal Caribbean Voyager of the Seas. I like our ship. It was very sleek looking. When we arrived in Rome, there were about 3 other cruise lines docked there and I am proud to say that our ship was the prettiest out of all of them. =D
The ship was huge, by the way. In the middle they had a Royal Promenade. Pretty awesome.
They had an ice skating rink, in-line skating, mini-golf, and enough bars to send an alcoholic into an euphoric doozy. I didn't get to ice skate because when I felt up for it they closed it. They also had a rock wall which I didn't climb because no one would go up with me and I didn't want to go by myself. ;( It was quite depressing. Seriously.
Our first dock was Nice, France and from there, we went to Monaco and took many amusing pictures.
I keel you.
Doing this pose made me realize how huge my ass is. My uber-sized gluteous maximus barely fit into the hole. Most depressing moment ever. Seriously.
Afterwards we ate lunch at this outdoors pizzeria where there was this crazzzyy pigeon. It flapped onto the table next to us and started eating the leftovers left on there. When people tried to shoo it away it started flapping like it was on Prozac.
We went back to Nice and went into the city and found a beach. There were a lot of bikers around so I'm guessing there was some sort of bike race going on? Anyways, it turns out that the beach was a topless beach. Har har.
Honestly though, I didn't see any topless people. Well, I wasn't looking that hard so that would be part of the reason. Actually, I didn't realize it was a topless beach until we went back onto the cruise and someone told me. Anyways, we went back onto the ship and after dinner (which was our first formal dinner - had to dress up and everything), I came back and found this on my bed:
I believe it's a dog. But yeah, every night after dinner, the state room attendants would make a different animal. It was very entertaining. =)
Also, during the dinner, they had photographers walking around taking pictures and you can buy them the next day (or something like that).
I look like I have two thugs. Though in reality, they wouldn't make very good thugs. They look like they'd crumple like paper after the first punch.
Next day we went to Florence. Gorgeous city. Ridiculously hot. Hilarious souvenirs.
While there, I saw one of the most beautiful dogs ever.
Absolutely gorgeous.
Afterwards, we drove to Pisa and saw the Leaning Tower of Pisa. 'Course, being there and seeing it requires very lame posing.
And when we came back from dinner that night, we got what I think is an elephant. It might have been an anteater also.
Oh, and on the matter of our taxi driver. It seems like in Europe, traffic laws are more of suggestions than actual laws. Our taxi driver sped, ran red lights, stop signs, drove in the middle of the road. You name it, he most likely did it. It was fantastic. =)
While I was there (in Florence), it made me realize that Florence is very similar to Vietnam. The heat and humidity in both places were both bordering on unbearable. There's a strange smell wherever you go. There are motorcycles everywhere and all the motorists are slightly berserk. Although, Florence is a lot prettier and cleaner.
Alright, next post I shall talk about Rome and Pompeii. =D
So I watch the first episode of HanaKimi.
I like it. I like it very much. Very much to my surprise. =)
I think a big part of it was at the very beginning they warn you that this series will be full of foolishness. The first episode was very much so but by them openly acknowledging it you know that they aren't taking themselves seriously. I think by them acknowledging it, it makes it easier for me to enjoy the series. I'm not sure why, it just does.
Anyways, this episode was pretty hilarious. Its outrageousness reminds me of Ouran High School Host Club. It's not as outrageous but it's still pretty incredible. Ikuta Toma does a very entertaining Nakatsu. I think he's my favorite character so far. My favorite scene:
*Nakatsu stalks away from the field*
Someone: Nakatsu, class isn't over yet!
Nakatsu: AAAAAAARRGHHHH!!!!! *continues to stalk away*
XD! Nakatsu, I love you. You make my joints shake with giggles.
Oh, and Sekime? I don't remember this character from the manga but the actor is very cute. He reminds me strongly of Akanishi Jin though. Anyone else see it? Oh, and the guy who plays the head of Dorm 2? Nanda, I think it was? ...or something. He reminds me a little of Matsumoto Jun. Just a little bit.
I also love the part where all those guys started barging into the girl's room half naked asking for shampoo. I love their towels. Leopard print? Red lips? Rainbow checkers? Oh my god. XD.
Oh, and who carries a ruler in their towel? Seriously, I found that very strange. And even stranger...the Hibari Four? ...Um. Right. Er. So. I'm guessing they're there as rivals for Mizuki? Or the leader girl anyways. Still, they're very...bizarre.
Also, I like Horikita Maki. I mean, you know she's obviously a girl but I think she could almost pass for a guy (especially with how man pretty boys Japan seems to store). One of the major things that bugged me in the manga was the girl seemed too girly. I couldn't understand how she was able to fooled most of the guys.
And of course, the most important part in this entire series - Oguri Shun. Oh, Oguri Shun. No. Scratch that. Oh, SHIRTLESS Oguri Shun. Seriously, I think I disintegrated into nothing when he came out of the shower. Tall? Check! Muscles? Check! Sexy? Check, check, check, check! Now if only he quit smoking, then he'd be the perfect guy. Oh, and if he was single too.
Well, I'll definitely continue watching this series. I find it very interesting. Also, anyone notice that Makino's dad from HYD and Shuuji's dad from Nobuta wo Produce are here too? Very cool. =D
EDIT: Oh, and the dog. Forget everyone else. The dog rules ALL.
EDIT2: Another thing. Those fangirls. You know. The screaming and well, the photos. I'm not the only one who's slightly terrified, right?
