I may be the only one who hasn't seen this yet, but I'm linking anyway, just in case. Mr Hake,
I'm sure by now you have been inundated with contacts both for and against your unsolicited email blast regarding homosexuality on prime time television. Further, I would assume that you appreciate the support, and rather quickly dismiss the dissent. That being said, I still felt compelled to respond. If you choose to use your company email list to spread your opinion rather than your fertilizer, then I would suppose you would be prepared for the fallout.
I understand from reading your email that you and your children enjoy sitting down to watch graphic violence, rape and murder. This "fairly enjoyable" family activity of yours was disturbingly interrupted by two men hugging on screen. Later, during another hour of crime and violence portrayed as desensitizing entertainment, your enjoyable family time was once again disturbed by two women kissing.
Now, it's not violence that upsets you - it's clear that your kids are welcome to view that - that's part of "wholesome family television". It's not heterosexual sex that disturbs you - lots of that on both those shows that you and your kids view together during family time. Blood and gore are fine for the kids, too - no complaints there. It's the hugging men that put you over the edge.
Mr. Hake, I doubt you will miss me, my friends and family, my acquaintances, and all those I have the opportunity to influence as the years pass, as customers. Nor will we, knowing your position on gratuitous violence, rape and murder, miss you as a vendor.
Sincerely,
my name here
