Alright, all parents are guilty of it. They use scare tactics (and sometimes guilt) to get you into eating the foods they want you to eat. From when you were a little kid you're told the truth about foods (although, a bit exaggerated at times). About how some things will make you fat, or will make you sick if you eat too much of it. Pork's chartegorized as white meat, in case you were wondering...

I think a good idea with food is to just eat fresh stuff. Don't buy canned foods, or dry pasta or frozen dinners. Anything that could possible outlast you cannot be good to eat.

Nowadays it seems damn hard to avoid that stuff though.

Oh, I know about pork being a white meat, but in Korea, they seem to think it's the healthiest meat you can eat, and I totally disagree.

Red meat gets all the bad rap, but pork is just as bad imho as far as meats go.

Chicken and fish are the best for you.

I also agree about the canned stuff too ^^

While pork certainly is fatening, I don't think it's unhealthy. Just like carbs, not unhealthy, just fatening. Although, with carbs you actually need those to live. I remembering learning in Grade 11 bio how our bodies need carbs to live, and then I heard about Atkins, and jsut knew that couldn't end well.

I think I was justified when the creator of Atkins died. Sucka...

Ok, I should've said... as far as meats go... it's not all that much better than red meat, which is what I was trying to say I guess.

My boss keeps talking about how red meat is hard to digest, but... pork has the highest fat content (just normal pork, not touching processed meats) but he goes around pimping pork like it's the best thing you could eat. He also consumed his weight in chili paste daily I'm sure.

They announced in Korea that kimchi was healthy for you, and people went nuts, eating it morning noon and night, and now... Korea has one of the highest rates of stomach cancer (someone said) and a ton of people I know are all in hospital with stomach ulcers. Mind you, it could also be the whole overstressed bit... where you're not allowed to miss a day unless you're hospitalized... so everyone's under a lot of pressure constantly...

Donno.

I just think.. saying infinity one thing is better than something else, without looking at all the facts, is just.. irritating.
