They know the Titans from the anime-inspired Cartoon Network show, but I've started collecting the compiled volumes for when they're older. Starfire sure looks, uh, different in the comics than she does on the show.
I waited SO. LONG. for that pose. She instinctively does this fake smile, nose-flared pose when you point the camera at her, but I just waited until she let down her guard a little. I call that one the "Susannah Hoffs pose".
Aw, they're both so lovely! Catherine looks mischievous enough by day, let alone by night! Love the hair - did you really dye it? Because you're totally the coolest parents ever. No-one in the UK makes that much effort.
The dye is supposed to wash out after a few shampooings, but it's the real (temporary) deal.
I think it's a relatively recent thing in the States, too. When I was a kid, we bought these cheap-ass costumes that were essentially a plastic garbage bag with an uncomfortable mask, most likely of a Star Wars character, but sometimes Chachi. (I was C-3P0.)
Holy moly, they are rocking those costumes! I love love love Catherine's purple hair, and Brady's no-nonsense, big time enforcer stance. And Catherine's expression in the first picture made me grin a big grin just as soon as I saw it.
They both got into it SO much, and usually getting them to pose is like pulling teeth. There's something about inhabiting your favorite superhero that makes me think they'll be wearing them long past the holiday.

Isn't she a ham?? (I have no idea where she could have learned such behavior!)

I was blind the first time and didn't notice Brady's cool dyed hair. He's really one handsome little fella.
