My buddy bailed on me on what I'd hoped would be a night of liberal sampling from the stash of fancy Duty Free liquor (Patron Anejo, Johnny Walker Gold, Grand Marnier) I've been supplying him, so here I sit in front of a fire soaking up the Wi-Fi that has cruelly forsaken me in my private confines of my hotel room. Aw, the Weestaks. Gorgeous and colour-coordinated.

Don't regret the Great Adventure too much. It didn't work out the way you hoped, but it was a brilliant opportunity at the time. "Pleasantly stagnant" is kind of an oxymoron anyway, so maybe after all that hassle when things settle down again they'll be simply pleasant? I hope! And speaking of, how much longer until you and the family are able to be together again in the long-term sense?

I hope soon because it's getting to be that time of year where I wish people good cheer and I want you to be happy! ♥

I can't come within a million miles of comparing to the cuteness of the weestaks, but tomorrow night (er, I guess it's tonight already) I will attempt to show you a great time in ole Ottawa! maybe we'll even find a place to drink more ridiculously priced scotch! (with, of course, beavertails, poutine, and all other standard Ottawa fare.) weeeeeeeeeeeeee!
