In two weeks today I move to Myanmar! And the big Jess news I was waiting to share is that SHE WILL BE THERE TOO. Not only in the same country, but the very same town, Sittwe (though working for different organisations). Our offices are 150m apart, guesthouse proximity yet to be determined. I am not sure if I'll be able to see anything of Myanmar beyond the work sites around Sittwe and then Yangon, depends on security restrictions. Ah well!

Probably technically, but not actually! They are pieces of cotton impregnated with the wax. They last a while with wiping/gentle cleaning, and then after a while need reimpregnating with the wax.
