Cleaning out the Closet

Mar 18, 2010 19:46

I told Q to tell them I won't be joining them for today's meeting because I had to clean out my top closet but nooooo.

They bring the meeting to me.

So okay, you guys go ahead and yakkity yak while I try to sort out the stuff I have been keeping for the past 25 years.

Like:

1. My dollhouse- wooden, handmade by mom and gifted to me when I was four. She would buy miniature items to scale to fit my dollhouse which had one mom and two babies. My mom even used gift wrapper as wall paper and used the plastic table thingy you place in pizza boxes to keep the cover from touching the pizza as tables. It's a great toy and goes great with another great thing mom made, my kitchenette, which was also hand-made by mom and had oodles to kitchen stuff she bought from toy stores, like a sink with water, an over with a timer that actually tings, and oodles of other kitchen stuff. I lost that to termites. I love my mom.

2. A toy vacuum which I never played with.

3. A toy sewing machine which I also never played with

*They were really trying to make me a girly-girl. They failed.:P

4. A wedding stencil set

5. That girly art set where you have plastic embossed designs of half women or their legs down which you can print onto paper by running a crayon through it to embed the picture on the paper. You can mix-match the body parts.:P I unearthed the travel set. I know I had a bigger one, probably gave it away already.

6. My rollerblades- I stopped using them because the wheels crumbled to the heat.

7. A CANDY CANDY BABY GRAND PIANO!

8. A wooden labyrinth- the one where you have to tilt the box to get the ball to the finish line.

9. My UNO madness given by Santa and was destroyed by my cousin a week later.

10. my code set

11. wooden blocks- you can't find those toys anymore

12. Travel game- Guess WHO?

13. Dragon snap- a game that requires precision skill in catching balls in its mouth and placing it in its butt only to have it poop it out when the game is over.:P

14. My toy rock guitar- Loved that especially the mic function

15. My min golf set

16. My littlest pet shop collection- I'm not giving that away. That goes with my polly pocket collection

17. My lego sets- I'm still trying to salvage the spy set my brothers broke.

I have to get rid of some stuff because seriously, I have no use for them, but there are some great board game toys I could salvage and keep.

And if my kids were real, they would get:

Rudy- Labyrinth
Elliot- the baby grand piano to go with dad's baby grand piano in the librar
Queenie- The block set and sweeper set
Sora- The guitar

*Q raises eyebrow*

Q: you're giving the baby the guitar?
M: Hey, your son is into piano while your other daughter is into violin. Let the baby get into guitar.
Q: but guitar is....rock.
M: One of them should get into mommy's hobbies, so the baby gets the guitar.
Chocobos: Snap Dragon. They're playing with it already.

So yeah, keepsakes for the soon-to-be children of one Mara Narciso back into the closet. As for the rest of you...let's my some little girls happy.

Keep some memories, give some memories.

They're all in good condition mind you.

Some may require batteries. Those big C types.

and Duo drop my golf set.

D: b-but H's report is boring!!!
M: That's not for you.
D: Can't I keep it in my office so I can use it?
M: And be blamed for your slackiness? Cough it up.

reminisce, lala-land
