Thank you <3 So far I am! ^^'
The power's still on (had a couple flickers, last time I thought it was out for sure), the sump pump in the basement's still working (it's a pump for getting excess water out of a house; I didn't know what one was either 'til we moved out here. -.-'), my dad sandbagged the lowest bank of the creek by our house, and at the moment, the rain's let up.
Judging by the NYC weather reporting (my folks have satellite TV, and the only "local" stations we get are for NYC and Los Angeles), we're in a flood watch area, sooo we're not out of the woods yet. ._.'
(Pffft, so says me, I LIVE in the woods! xP)
But, so far so good here! ^^

omg, gifs - an Axel!gif <3

On one hand it sounds like fun, I love thunderstorms, and when there's power outage it's even funnier (just think of all the ghost stories there are to tell *_*) - but, flooding and kittens in danger doesn't sound like fun at all o''o

I'M AN AXEL GIF COLLECTOR. 8D

Yeah, once you move out to a rural area like here, thunderstorms aren't so fun anymore. ^^' The power can go out at the drop of a hat here. Living here for 10+ years has gotten me almost used to them, that I don't flip out too much over them anymore (seriously, when the remnants of hurricane Irene were on their way here, the only thing I was worried about was getting to see Durarara!! and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. 8|; I could deal with anything else, but missing my anime soaps would have PISSED ME OFF. xD; ), but the thing that at our house, when the power goes out, we have NO running water. o_o So yeah, in addition to the flooding, that is also not fun ( ... )

Oh no! I really hope the rain stops soon and that you don't get flooded. Gosh, wish I could help in some way. Hang in there!
