Holy cow... I think it's a plan. But I need your guy's help!

So I went job hunting again today. Ashley suggested we stop at Butler Tech to see how much EMT training costs. I have more than enough with the financial aide that was granted me this year to do it. It would push back college again. That's the big iffy... to push back college and start school in the Spring Semester in Georgia... If I do, I would ( Read more... )

If you're not hurting anything
with trying it out, go for it!
Experiencing what you want to
do is important in making hard
decisions. Try it out, make it
work or not, whatever happens you
still were able to see "what if".

I know the prospects of being an EMT sounds great but what you don't realize is at least once a week you have to pull a 24 hour shift, and your on call all the time so at the drop of a hat you might have to leave a party or something, plus when you apply to be an EMT at a new location you have to be familiar with the area so you may want to start memorizing your maps but remember think before you jump, college is important but so is following your heart so tread lightly and enjoy the moment.

I'd thought of all that... And college isn't an "if" for me, it's definite. Just how and when are the problems. The money and the prospect of helping people are the driving factors. Who is this by the way?

Well it's either Chaff or Sarah... The trace came up with both Chi town and Miami. Im guessing chaff because Sarah's in right now.

actually that last one wasnt me, but hey at least you have a plan
from what that guys said, it sounds kinda harsh, but hey you probably stay up 24 hours at least one day partying lol
anyway, 25 grand isnt much!? some 4 year degree/careers dont make that much starting (like my sister whos a teacher only make 30, and she still has to go back to get more training!) from a money perspective, its a good deal if it helps in the long run
but since you are DEFNITLY going to school (so much for suggesting the military) you should consider getting that done first. if it were me, i would say go for it, you get money AND expience, and you cant get either in school

The EMT training isnt college, and it's only for like a year.... Pre-law or Pre-med is going to be my bachelors degree...

uhh.. i never said it was.. but umm ok
well, i say do the emt training, 25 grand will help tons, and its only a year, years go by so fast, i remember graduating high school yesterday when it was actually 2 years ago and 21 is creeping up on me real fast
do what you can now, save the regrets for when youre dead

I agree with you totally, and anyhow... I can take the basic course while Im here, and do the intermediate course in night classes in Georgia... and AASU is soooo cheap.... 25 grand would help even more than if I were to stay here at UC.

Just a little cessna... I was taking lessons, and got into an arguement with my parents a couple years ago and they took the funding for my lessons away. I'm going to pick them up again when i have the time and money.
