Dear Diary
We went for a walk on the beach. We saw a seal and a sea lion. The seal swam along the shore at more or less our pace for quite some time. It was neat-o. The sea lion was pulled up on the beach and, dry, the same color as the rocks around it, so we got startlingly close before I realized, HEY. NOT A ROCK. Good morning, internets! I very much enjoyed mojokid's ds_flashfiction entry, Last Wishes (F/K).
One of my dogs has an upset stomach. I guess that means I should stay on the couch and pet him and read fic and beta and watch movies, huh? (Correct answer: HELL NO. You have IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO OFF THE COUCH, woman.) Yes, I thought so! Good plan. -

I am back from my excellent whirlwind Canadian weekend. Twelve-plus hours on the road again yesterday, many twisty roads and rocky beaches and natural splendor.
