I've decorated/unpacked and I'm really happy with my room. I go into small ecstasies at every minor amendment, and send links and pics to friends and relatives

I KNOW. I am envying myself. If it were anyone else's, I'd be having a little cry in the loo. I hope flatangst will not prevent you hanging out here.

It is making me feel keenly my positions of privilege, and good fortune, and making me screw up my courage to actually be more useful to the world this year; I just look around and think 'I haven't earned this, who could? This is the top 10% of the fucking lucky iceberg.'
