Pride is fun, and Pride is about community getting information about politics and activism and meeting new people. And waving flags and wearing a stupid outfit and prancing down the main street as though you are some kind of Summer King. And smiling at people on public transport

dude, what a bunch of silly arses, am so sorry. Am also sorry I cannot come to pride (though not being gay/bi/transgender/queer I feel it is not really my place to be there, however supportive) - am going to garden party at Westminster Abbey, which, while undoubtedly camp in a high church fashion, is not quite the same thing (though I shall wear a stupid outfit). But I shall think supportive thoughts!
