Life is going okay. I am not doing as well, but it is probably hormonal (no, I am serious). So this too shall pass. I hate that I forget about exercise (which would help) until *after*. Was doing well with the yoga/stretches, too. Back to them tonight, I hope ( Read more... )

Wow! That DVD price site is way cool! Thanks for sharing.

None of the box sets on B&N were any good for me either -- now if they'd had the original Star Trek...

Slings & Arrows is fabulous. Worth watching more than once to catch all the possible in jokes and nuances.

There's a third season floating around, but I don't think it's aired on Sundance yet, or I'd have arranged to see it. The first two seasons came out stunningly fast, and IMDB hasn't closed the door on the series yet, so there might be more after that one. I can dream.

Paul Gross impresses me more every time I see him. He has deadpan down to an absolute science. See Due South if you don't know what I mean.

I've been waiting for Slings and Arrows Season 3 on Sundance; last I googled, the date hadn't been announced. It's either still showing, or just finished, in Canada I think.

I had read back at the start of Season 2 that there'd only be three seasons, but who knows.

So this is the Shakespeare show, right? I am sad to say that although I have a reasonable familiarity with Shakespeare ideas and quotes, I have only read two plays all the way through (MacBeth for sure, and prob. R&J for the other); I have seen another 2 or three on stage (Midsummer for sure), and I was in Kiss Me Kate when I was 15, so I'm passing familiar with Taming of the Shrew); and then Much Ado on the screen. Not that I have time to get involved with another series, but if I did -- would I get the jokes, or are they all theater/Shakespeare? I was in the pit for a couple of musicals in High School, so I'm not really a theater geek...

Yep, it's a show ABOUT a Shakespearean festival, and I'm sure I'd get more out of it I were more familiar with Shakespeare. I know about as much as you do actually. But it's like watching SportsNight and needing to know sports teams -- the show was still great if you didn't.

Watching Slings and Arrows does really make me want to be more familiar about the plays though!

Thanks! And thanks for your call last night. How are the steps going? It looks like I need around 4 miles to get >10,000. I do get about a mile when I pick the kids up, but that just doesn't feel like it "counts" -- unless I have to carry a 40 lb boy any distance.
