Tired &/or depressed. probably what I ate today is affecting this...very little vegetables, mostly bars, sugar, chocolate, junk, coke...was doing okay on points until meeting with qrssama, when I got a hot chocolate and a scone ;-) Lucky for me, I don't love the Starbucks scones like the Panera ones (don't know why, I thought they were the same company ( Read more... )

Thanks! *hugs* back! If you are planning a trip to AA, let me know, because qrssama's visit reminded me that I have been talking about a visit since last summer. I thought I was over it, but now I would really like to go and spend some time being with people, and letting both qrssama and her lovely daughter talk for a while without having to be interrupted ;-) And of course all my other friends in AA, on LJ and not! And my relatives in Metro Detroit.

Poor you! Believe me, I can empathize completely -- DS would make at least one mess daily for weeks, and oftentimes he (accidentally or on purpose) smear it everywhere. Ugh. This too shall pass, but until it does, it will suck. But it WILL pass, I promise!

Hugs and strength and patience to you!

There has been no smearing, just diaper rash so bad it makes him cry. Which is almost worse than anything else. I was talking to a couple of mothers from the preschool about it today, one said she'd heard "He won't be wearing diapers at his Bar Mitzvah", and her son potty trained right after some terrible diaper rash. If he would stop saying "I'll be potty trained at 5", I would feel better!

Thanks...

Oh, the poor wee kiddo! How awful. Have you tried neosporin with pain relief on the rash? That's one of the things that the pediatrician recommends. Can't say C has ever had it that badly though.

Well, they said at school he didn't complain. Although we thought he pooped and apparently he didn't...We do have some neosporin, so I will keep that in mind if the diaper creme doesn't work. Which I still have to get...our tubes were too old to use.
