When I was young and one of 10 kids, one of us was always on amoxil. The rest of us would be jealous because it tasted so good. Some kind of odd banana-esque flavour.
Sounds ghastly. I totally sympathize with the waking thing. Some mornings I can't even figure out when or how often I got up with the boy because I was sleepwalking around in a daze.
hmmm, I would have said "bubble gum." Maybe it's just the bright pink color. I remember loving it, and being mad when I couldn't take it for sore throats (I, like my son, have a strong aversion to cherry-flavored medicine, ick).
**HUG** You know, I wonder if there is a link between the boys getting sick and you feeling low. Like, maybe what you were feeling as depression was low-grade illness or something?
At any rate, I'll see your "Wheels on the Bus" and raise you any song by the Wiggles, but most especially Fruit Salad (yummy yummy).
Oh, hope the boys get better soon and you get some rest. Your story brings back many not-so-fond memories, especially of trying to get meds into an unwilling boy, and of those lovely sleepless nights when you revert to childhood whininess in response to being awake for way too many hours...
Unfortunately my boy is allergic to amoxicillin and has to take zythromax, which he HATES. Sigh. Fortunately the doctor approved mixing it in chocolate pudding, which is NOT cheating. Hope your two keep being able to take it.. DS developed the allergy on ear infection #7 out of 8 (and four of them were in 1 year, sigh.
I have done the poop in the tub thing, with toys. Icky. I feel your pain.
