So I remembered this author's name from books I read while growing up, probably somewhere from age 8 to 16. In fact, I can imagine where on the shelves at that time her books were. Golly... I remember devouring her books in junior high, but I can't remember a thing about them now, other that some vague memory of candy stripers. (Doesn't mean they weren't worth remembering, just that my brain is shot. I felt better today after reading a Liev Schreiber (sp?) interview in the New York Times where he talks about how he forgets almost everything he narrates... *g*)
