No, not the popular wheat-based accompaniment to an Indian meal, but the last of my Grandparents, Olive Quick, aka 'Scarborough Grandma', who died on the 3rd of May. Her departure is of course very sad, but greatly offset by very happy memories of her ( Read more... )

Ah... we both turned out okay in then end, I think. ;)

I'm glad your gran had a good send off, I remember meeting her at Florence Road and thinking that she was a bit scary. But in a good way, like mine were.

Hope you enjoyed the weekend just gone and the upcoming... Shame we won't see you on Friday - next time, Sir!

PS I still don't know who set fire to my Nike jacket. My cousin remains the odds-on favourite.
