I got denied entry to UAB. Backup plan is to go to Jeff State. Kind of hard to come to terms with.

Your work at Jeff State will prove that you can successfully do college work (which we all know you can, all of us except UAB, it seems.) Then transferring to UAB should be simple enough. (And you're saving money for your Jeff State credits!)

Bah! Nothing can hold the Derrick back! UAB can lick my fuzzy butt! Stupid UAB. so, heh, dun feel bad. I couldn't get in with my GPA. ^^;; And hey, at least you graduated unlike some of us, eh? <3 Come see me and the Jamie and the Creasman. A night of gaming and geek talk will cheer you up. :)
