I've written a college essay and an Anthropology essay in the past week about a chimp named Washoe who could talk in American Sign Language. She just died yesterday night... it's kind of weird... it feels like someone I knew died.

Yeah... it's kind of a bummer, Matt Hoel and I talked about it, it stinks, but washoe lived longer than the average chimp, i think.
