GAWD, it's always the really weak tropical storms that are the sloppiest. TS Erin moved in over the old Sea-Gun Inn and the Lamar Peninsula yesterday, near Corpus Christi (Hello, are you Chrisites ok? Or are ya'll called Corpuses? ;) )
It rained like a sumbitch over half of Texas, there's gonna be lots of flooding in the Hill Country.

YIKES, it's starting to thunder again, and it's gotten really dark outside, really fast. Just a while ago it was brillant-sunny!

I'm so glad that the Bermuda High, as I'd hoped, blocked him from coming up north. WOW, that sumbitch reminds me of Mitch, as far as its location and strength.

ps: according to oral history, which I've heard first-hand, 1961's Carla dumped salty rain over Brazos and Burleson Counties, 150-miles inland. YIKES!!!
pps: Carla also continued to be a Tropical Storm up inland through Austin, then Fort Worth and Dallas, and just past the Texas/Oklahoma border.
...I remember trees blowing down the street, as well as Dan Rather showing us the first ever tv pictures of weather radar.
