Just to play devil's advocate a bit:

"'We catch them trying to tell their kids they don't need to go to college because this is a good life,'"

Should the state (in a poli sci sense) really trump parents when it comes to imparting life advice to children? If so: taken too far, this could lead to some really scary big government stuff.

Oh, I definitely think that if taken too far it could go nutso and screw everyone up
