I really want to adopt a Russian tortoise. They are easily kept in large tupperware containers, could be carried around and taken fun places to roam (like the park), and when I have a garden it could wander around eating weeds and being generally cute. How do you react when, in a rush and to the question "Do you take Discover?" you reply "Oh, of course. We take everything" in an off-hand, not-paying attention manner, and the 30-something businessman who is restocking his liquor cabinet says

OK, I swear to god that Hugh Laurie, who plays House, just came in and bough a 6pack of Newcastle and some chocolate. He looked exactly like him, had a British accent, and was with a short woman with brown hair who looks like his wife when googled.
Unfortunately he paid with cash, so now I am simply frustrated.

So I've had a nice break so far...I took Friday and Saturday off, and then had Sunday and Monday anyways, and Viet had his spring break. I didn't really accomplish anything spectacular, but it was nice to relax ( Read more... )
