the lovely bones;alice sebold: brendan had to read this for his senior english class, but i read it freshman year on my own and you can definitely handle it, no question. depicts an interesting perspective of heaven. main character is a girl our age.
stargirl;jerry spinelli: an easy read. doesn't go very in depth with the characters however it's interesting anyway.
green angel;alice hoffman: very poetic. slightly anti climatic ending. but beautifully written nonetheless.
blankets;craig thompson: graphic novel. adult content at some points. but it's an awesome love story.
feed;mt anderson: bizarre book. futuristic. violet is an awesome character.
anthem;ayn rand: very poetic. very short. very good.

I read like half of The Lovely Bones last year...I just like stopped reading it though.
And we own it so I have to read it

well... im reading the notebook.. i dont know if you like that kind of books, but i didnt think i did, but it is really good. But it does get a little boring with all the description, i think. and well.. thats like the only book i have ever 'really' read. so yea.

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini.

I had to read it for English class and it actually turned out to be quite good.

ALL THE PRETTY HORSES by Cormac McCarthy and also The Great Gatsby... Meredith has my copy of All the Pretty Horses, but you can borrow it when she is done.
