weird dream the other night
The night before last I had a really strange dream. What follows is my best attempt at putting it down on virtual paper.
The dream started out with me staying at some kind of high rise condo. Lots of glass and metal. Nice views of the city.
Anyway, there was some kind of storm brewing south of me and I watched the cloud and it was really neat. It was a boiling building kind of cloud formation (almost like a thunderstorm building really quickly) but the edge of it was doing something kind of odd, it would get these hash marks, almost as if they were being pulled back by somekind of fast moving craft... They sky was blue, blue, blue, intense
I thought it looked pretty neat so I ran back in to pick up the nikon to take some pics. When I got back outside the cloud was moving closer but there also had appeared a dark spot in the blue sky, it had dark red lacerations going through it, almost boiling around the edge. In the dark part you could see stars among the red lacerations. It was growing, taking over the blue sky.
Out of the cloud formation a ship appeared, shovel nosed, moving towards me. All of a sudden I see a man or something on the top of the ship. As it gets closer the image is clearer and it looks a lot like Israfel, the seventh angel from Evangellion.(http://www.geocities.com/nervdatabase/eva_angels_mainframe.html)
Except the head part was shiney, metalic. There was another person taking
pictures of everything that was going on and he lined up and snapped a picture of the angel and it whipped around and a light shined down on him. I was snapping pics when I saw the light come down and realized that it didn't want its picture taken so started to run back inside.. The creature turned on top of the ship and a light fell on me.
Next segment of the dream I was falling in the door and trying to remember what I was just doing. I couldn't remember anything, even though I had a camera in my hand. On the tv they were going on about the festival that people were gathering for down below us. They were mentioning the odd black and red void that was taking over the sky. I ran the hall and turned the corner and found myself looking out a wide glass expanse, the sky had turned mostly black and red, the shovel nosed ship had moved over my condo and was moving off in the distance, from the back it looked like one of the imperial star destroyers, bright white light engines. The creature on the top a dark shadow. I remembered my camera and started snapping pictures again as the ship got smaller and smaller. Me cursing the digital lag on the camera.
The tv was blathering on about the festival, and welcoming our robot masters / overlords or something really strange. As the ship above was moving out of site it shined a light ray down into the gathering crowd unto several of it's own creatures. The ship winked out and the creatures in the crowd started to grow and change (kind of like how the Mayor in season 3 of Buffy changed during his ascension) and feeding on the crowd. There was panic. People were running. The creatures were growing larger and larger, some looked like the giant parade balloons from Cowboy Bebop. One of them saw I was snapping pictures through the window and started to float up and loom large through the window... they sky was starting to turn back blue...
Then I woke up from the dream with a start. Heart was thump, thump, thump.
I was wide awake, and trying to place where I was. What was real, what wasn't.
Very vivid dream. I have been able to recall it in complete clarity all yesterday and this morning too.
What does it mean? Not really sure. Do I watch to much anime/sci fi/fantsy? probably. Everything seemed to be either from a movie/series that I've seen or read. strung together, with me as the viewpoint.
weird.
And that's it. No follow up dreams. very weird.
