Just a thought: Would you feel better if someone could buy their way around the rules by spending half a million dollars? :*D

good point, and implimentation of the rules is commendable. also this highlights some issues/difficulties in voting and how people can get confused. one thing worth mentioning is that absentee votes are generally never counted anyway unless it is a tight race. however in an age of needing a lobbyist to get to a congressperson, i'd say that money clearly heavily biases the political process.
