Final brazil vacation post

Well, here's the end of it wrapping it all up :)

Saturday July 19th

We flew from Rio to Sao Paulo, we didn't get to our hotel until about 6 at night. We also decided to splurge a little bit and stay at a hotel that was just a little better. We get our room, and find that they ptu us in a room with two separate beds. We decide not to make abig deal out of it as we were tired, and just ask for a different room the next night. So for one night, we slept in separate beds, which case I think we were so exhausted we didn't notice all that much heh. We ordered some AMAZING pizza that night. We can NOT get this pizza in America, so that's definitely one pro about Brazil that American doesn't have (besides Iguacu falls, the christ statue, sugar loaf mountain, the beach, and bryan's 'home'). We mostly just watched tv and relaxed, i thinkw e both needed it.

Sunday, July 20th

The next day was Sunday, and we get all gussied up and take the bus over to where he went to church on his mission for a short time. Turns out, they don't do any afternoon sessions anymore, so we were there too late, but he did get to see some pictures of some boys that were up in the church, and that meant they were still at least somehwat active, and he was VERY very excited about that, I was excited for him too. We sat and just talked for a bit, he talked to some people there in the church, and one guy actually recognized Bryan. Then we went over to take alooka t the Sao Paulo temple, but the grounds were closed, so we could just see it from the outside of the fence. We got to at least see it though, even if there were cleaning the steeple and Angel moroni. :) Afterwards we went over to the mall since we were both starving, and didn't want have to do t another hour of a bus ride back before eating anything. We also wanted to pick up some treats fo rme to take home to my family, and they had a supermarket int he mall. While there, we got some gelato, and it's the best gelato I've ever had anywhere (mind you I've only had it here in Utah and in San Francisco). We went back to the hotel and just relax and enjoy the last night we have together for the next three months. We also got some Esfihas, but I was still starving, so we ordered the same pizza we had the night before, and I was able to eat a good portion of it. I should mention that Sunday morning, we were able to move to another room where we were able to sleep in the same bed. So that was nice :) Again, we just relaxed and went to bed.

Monday, July 21st and Tuesday, July 22nd

We got up early, and took a taxi cab to the airport, and started the stupid thing of having to say good bye. He dropped me off at the ticket counter to make sure everything was still in order, and that I would get home safely. Again, this is always a worry with me :) I'm a deaf girl, traveling alone, and pregnant, so bryan was with up until he could no longer be with me. I went through, and started my long flight home. In short, my flight was this: I left 5:30 Utah time Monday morning in which I had a 6 hour flight from Peru, 13 hour layover in peru (where I read four books from cover to cover), 8 hour flight from Peru to Los Angeles, 2 hour layover, 1 hour flight to Las vegas, 1 hour lay over in Las Vegas, 1 hour flight to San Francisco, 45 minute layover in San Francisco, 2 or 3 hour flight back to Salt Lake City. My family had been in Salt Lake that day, and asked if i would like to go to dinner with them, I said yes. So when I landed, I went to get my luggage, turns out there was a miscommunication and the lady who was supposed to make sure my luggage got from LAX to SLC, rather than just stopping in LV, didn't put the sticker note out or something, so my luggage was still in LV. I then go to dinner with my family, and went home. I got home Tuesday night, at 11:30 PM. Needless to say, I was stinking exhausted, and was not looking forward to class the next day. i still went (had to), and slowly recovered from the long flight home.

Overall, it was an amazing trip. I also love that this time has flown by pretty fast so far, and I hope it keeps to fly by, it makes it easier to deal with a spouse being gone :) It'll be 4 weeks since I've last seen Bryan on Monday, and 8 weeks until he gets home on Tuesday. He has not been in the states since Monday, July 16th, so that's 5 weeks for him since he's seen home. He says time has flown by for him quite fast as well, so we keep praying that it will continue to be fast. :) And that, my friends, is the end of the Brazil trip.
