- i turned in a huge paper today
-i sat on the couch and cried feeling sorry for myself
-spilled house paint on the carpet, the landlord doesn't wear shoes on the carpet because it helps prolong the life of a carpet..so he'll be pleased for sure
-am going to see laurie anderson for the second time, tonight
- planning on getting some thai take-out
-around 2 a.m. this morning i joined the regional chapter of NOW closest to me.
-walked around the neighbor hood and collected leaves because michelles family arrives today including her 6 year old nephew
-found oput where the trumpet playing was coming from, a man three houses down the street
-these were free, but they're very uncomfortable(it's metal piping under the blue) but we still sit in them and pretend to be old.
-i tried to catch those gnats or whatever they are that fly around in clumps
-carved a pumpkin
-my grama recently rode up with my aunt diane to see Canada for the first time and this painting is the beginning of a portrait of he from a photo of her standing on the edge of Prince Edward Island. Also if you're familiar with leslie lerner i took her to his show at allyn gallup's gallery and loved how he always portrayed these brave little explorers and i feel like that's what she is. her whole life she was the dutiful and picture perfect wife. Now she's learning how to explore again, i think she's incredibly brave. Because i know how fucking scary this world can seem and the world expects me to travel and see, where as people expect her to just sit back and die watching the price is right. This is also the same grama that took her first ever college class two years ago at mcc. Art History. Her average was over 100% because, of course she had done every little bit of extra credit. And she audited (took it w/out credit) the course because she was afraid of failing.
-also i had someone on craigslist drop these off, but they're so heavy that we've just ended up leaving 'eem outside for awhile. sheesh.
-lastly this chair was the one that HB gave me from charlotte russe. This is probably the third time i've painted it.
