I'm sorry. I know exactly what you are going through. We had much the same thing with both Max and Dougie this summer, tho the tumors were in the larynx and nasal passages respectively. Max was 14, Dougie, 15. We knew from the first that it was inoperable with Max. They put Dougie under anesthesia and tried to see what and exactly where the tumors were. No go. I could have taken him to a specialist with fancy equipment that would see further into the nasal passage, but it took him 2 1/2 days to recover from the first round of anesthesia. I wasn't putting him through that again. OTOH, when we had Tabby, who had stomach cancer that was almost completely involved in the stomach lining, he was with us for almost 2 years before we had to let him go. So you never know.

It's a terribly hard decision to make, but Mr. Kitty has had 12 good years and that's more than a lot of cats get. Spoil him, for sure. And, yeah, it always breaks your heart.
