Sloppy Firsts came out 9 years ago today. How old were you, and how long did it take you to find out about it and read it?
I was 18, and a friend and I randomly found it in the bookstore and read it in about 2002 (when I was 19.)

Wow that long ago? Dang. I think I must have been around 14, 15 ish when I first heard about it from my best friend (who gives great book recommendations).

I was 14! but I didn't start reading till a couple years ago after more than a couple of people told me my writing style reminded them of Jessica Darling. which is awesome

I was 10 when it came out, and I believe I was 12 when I read it the first time (which now seems absurdly young for reading it, but whatever). I was always attracted to the books with brightly colored spines in the YA section at my library, and that has to be the best book I ever chose based on it's cover. I don't know how many times I've read them.

I was 13 when it came out and 15 when I read it. That day at the library the door cut my toe, leaving two tiny scars.. and the discovery of my favorite eventual set of books ever :)

Wow. I was 11 when these books came out, but I didn't heart about them/start reading until I was around 14 or 15.
