Are we too comfortable?

Talked to a guy from New York today and he mentioned to me about how much different the west coast is from the east coast. He mentioned how everybody on the west coast seems to burn money as if we were actually shoveling it into a coal fire. That's pretty much what I'm trying to figure out. My long-term goal is to eliminate all the bad things out of my life along with people I'm connected to. Seems logical, eh?

True, but think about how much people waste resources on this side of the coast. I guess that could be probably applied to anywhere else, but it's a fact.

Our public transit really is NOT that bad. In the city, it's great. And constantly in the works of improvement. I mean, it's good enough to not own a vehicle if you live in the Seattle area. (I don't, but then again I live downtown) Maybe, the surrounding area not so much, but that rule applies to ANYWHERE that's not a city or it's close by surroundings. Even the east coast.
