I've finished reading Stardust today. I read it because I've seen some people praising the movie, but judging from the trailer, it wasn't that good so I decided to read it instead. And it was written by Neil Gaiman, who wrote the story for the movie Mirrormask, which is about my favourite movie. But man, Stardust was such a let down.
It's not hard to summarize Stardust, because it's quite short and nothing really happens in it. After the very bad prologue, we are introduced to the main character Tristran Thorn, who is your VERY ordinary and VERY nice guy. And a retard. He goes off to wonderland to find the fallen shooting star for her love, (who is a stuck up bitch) When he finally finds it, he discovers that the fallen star is rather a 'she' than an 'it'. At first the star hates Tristran, which could be funny but it gets annoying very soon. So they start going back to Tristran's village. On they way, there are some stuff, but nothing, NOTHING really happens at all. There are no big battles, no funny conversations, nothing, just a few cheap sex scenes, bad language and some blood and gore. I figure these things were put into the novel so it could be called a "fairytale for adults", which term is getting more and more popular lately.(See Pan's labyrinth for example) Oh, I almost forgot, there are some dark princes who are trying to kill each other, and some kind of witch queen or whatever. Both the princes and the witch is trying to get the star, (whose name is revealed to be Yvaine later) But everything is just so...boring. The characters have no real personality, and...I don't know. I don't feel like writing more about it. This book is totally a waste of money. Don't read it.
Anyway, I guess I'm going back to reading The gun seller by Hugh Laurie. The first hundred pages or so were pretty good in that, and I expect the whole book to be fun.
Aaand...Another quiz, because you can't have enough of them.

Anime. Done right.
Last time I took this I was Lavi, so maybe the fact that today was the first day at school after winter break made me Kanda :D But he's my favourite after Miranda and Cross, so that's fine with me, although I don't really have anything against Lavi either. But since when is Kanda smart?
