after a long-long wait, the scanlation of ch. 144 is out, although I already downloaded the raw yesterday, and read the translations and I read the spoilers the day before that
well, what I was hoping for didn't happen, but at least Miranda is alive...but, being the idiot fanboy, I can still search for hints of CrossxMiranda. I'm aware that this pairing is as fanon as it could be, but it's still fun to do this:D for example:
when the generals were talking about that they should just sacrifice Miranda in order to destroy the egg, the wiev zoomed on Cross and he was thinking for a minute before giving out the order for the all out attack. hope you get my point:D
also, Allen jumping in and saving Miranda in the last minute was actually Cross's plan, so he did save her in a way:D
btw, when did Allen grow so tall?
but noise marie annoys me so much. and he's always worried about Miranda and whining while not really doing anything. I mean

also, I'm not really happy that Johnny died. It was totally pointless to kill him off, and he died in a very idiotic way, so yeah. And what about the hand covered in blood in the last panel? Judging from the spoilers, it could be Reever's, and that's not a good thing either. I hope that next week's chapter will have some answers. I also read a prediction that the manical laughter Allen hears on the last page could be from Jasdebi, and Jasdebi coming back is a pretty bad idea.But I have to admit that they were funny in the anime but I just couldn't stand them in the manga, and since I only watch a few episodes, and read the manga only, I would be very mad if they came back.

Actually, it's pretty good that he finally shows up. It's about time he joined the fighting too. I don't know why Kanda gets so little role in the story, he is about one of the most amusing characters in the story, if not the most amusing.
