This is not my own writing. I don't know whose it is. Evolution of dialect is one thing - ignorance in the use of apostrophes is another. Try putting your "previous employer's" on a resume and see how much luck you have.

Yes, I'm sure, but the point is that it isn't going to cause the entire language to collapse in a heap of slime, contrary to what some people appear to think.

Incidentally, my apostrophe placement is impeccable. Well, except for the odd typo.

Yeah, see, I have problems with the apostrophe thing.
But that's because I'm a Grammar Nazi and misused grammar really, really bugs me.
The rest of it is a changing dialect, though.
...If you try to sell me 'alright' and 'alot', though, I will shoot you. >.>

~blinks~ "Alright"? Isn't "alright" pretty standard by now?

"Alot" isn't, but I believe that in fifty years or so it will be.
