I didn't mind the film, but it NEEDED to end frozen under the ice. That would have been fine with me.

If he'd have floated down and seen the blue fairy and he just sat there while the credits rolled.

i love the wierd frankensteinish nature of that film. started by kubrick, lover of the macarbe and the fucked-up, and finished by speilberg, champion of the warm fuzzy. the poor movie is a hideous freak, stuck between two worlds..
