where do you wish you were right now?
what do you think dragonflies dream about?
if you could invent a language what would it be called and how would you say 'i love you'?

1. On the bus on the way to therapy. Or on the couch watching TV with my parents. Or in my bed.

2. Their cousins, fireflies. They're jealous of their luminescence.

3. I've put off answering this question for days now because I want to answer it really well, but I don't think I can. I don't know if I would invent a language at all. Instead there would be more of a focus on silence, not talking, only body language and maybe single words, you know? And as for how to say 'i love you'...this is hard. All I know is that you would look at them, and put your fingers on their face or the space between their jaw and their neck or another small quiet place, and say, 'stay.'

1. if you could live one day you've already experienced over and over again at will, what day would that be? (you can be as specific or vague as you like of course)

2. what book/song/movie has profoundly affected you (if any have)?

3. if someone wrote a poem about you, what would you want it to be titled?

1. I would never want to re-live a day. Ever. My memories of past days are all warped by anxiety, and the present days are too hard to get through to ever want to do over again. But there would be moments I might want to live through again. Mostly tiny things like lying on my back at the beach and staring at the trees until I get dizzy. Or the way various people have smiled at me in moments. Or my sixteenth birthday, even though it was so painful ( ... )

What is the most beautiful thing in the world to you?
Do you sing when you're alone?
If you could be an expert at anything, what would it be?

1. Honestly? That pain in my chest like a shaft of light piercing it or a flower growing from that place and trying to stretch for that light. It's the best and worst thing. I end up wanting to curl up on the floor and cry the sadness out of me but that ache lets me know that I'm still me, myself.

2. Yes. Only when I'm alone.

3. Ideally I'd be an expert in everything. But realistically, probably something like literature or maybe the artsy half of psychology. Or political science. I don't know.

What is your favorite joke?

What should we call our thingermagigger?

Why don't we have something that magically notifies us when the other is online so we can have oppurtunities to talk about bird stamps, EVERYDAY?

1. Mitosis!

2. I'm thinking something like 'still life.' Or, hey - "double entendre." which is like hearing something twice? and/or there being two meanings to a word/phrase? so, I respond to what you photograph and you respond to what I write, so we're hearing something twice. yay! go me!

3. I don't know! I was looking for you online all weekend!

1. Mitosis is the best punchline joke ever

2. I really like those titles. I should get myself together and do a mock up, which will maybe lead me to get started on the book.

3. The weekend is the worst time to find me online! Sometimes I don't turn the computer on at all. Today I'll be around though!

1. To be honest, the first person I told that joke to is the counsellor, who made this huge production out of it, moaning and groaning and making faces, and it was the first joke I told her, so I have a soft spot for it even though I know it's not really that funny. Plus the fact that it is intelligent! And a pun! (Aside: tomorrow is Thursday and I think I will not make it between now and 1 PM.)

2. Ack, honey, I don't want you to be doing all the work! I swear I will set aside a weekend one of these days for Georgia Stuff. Making packages to send to Georgia! Doing grunt work for my project with Georgia! Talking to Georgia about bird stamps!

3. And the week is the worst time to find me online, because I have to spend enough time doing homework to compensate for the time spent listening aimlessly to music in my room and playing hearts on my laptop repeatedly. And then my insistence on packing up at eight o'clock to watch Law and Order and then going to bed at 9/9:30. We'll work it out one of these days.

chance meeting your perfect other. :) what do you imagine the first meeting would be like between you?

if you were to describe yourself using only one lyric from a piece of music that you love, what lyric would that be/what song does it come from & why that lyric?

someday, before we're too old and grey, can i treat you to a picnis lunch in a graveyard or park? pretty please? :)

1) Oh honey, this question hurts too much to even think about. I don't know. Most of the time now I hope that person doesn't even exist so that I don't have to meet them in the first place.

2) Well, the piece of music that best describes me has no words ('The Heart Asks Pleasure First' by Michael Nyman, or alternately 'The Sacrifice,' which is the same music only differently arranged) but in terms of lyrics: I've been afraid of changing 'cause I / built my life around you from Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. Because I build my life around people so that I don't have to think about myself, and it's only when those people go away from me that I can change, which hurts, and so on and so forth.

3. Sure. :)
