Great story, even if it confused me a little.
But confusion's good. It leaves things open for interpretation.
If you've been listening to the Pixies, I can assume you've been watching Fight Club? (my favourite movie, might I add :D )
I'm not sure if that's where the somewhat-philisophical tone came from or if that's your normal style of writing.
