I feel like I got to know Victor just a bit better after reading this, though not as well as I would have liked to. I am truly, deeply sorry that you suffered such a loss but I hope you continue to feel grateful for having him in you life as long as you did.

Sorry if it sounds like I am giving you platitudes or being cliche, I wish I knew what to say to make this pain less because I really care about you. I do know some of what you are feeling because your journal reminded me of losing Jim Woods last year and it still hurts if I think about him at all.
