Mom tells me that she won't be able to come after all because if she did, she would have to bring Nawaki because she couldn't find a baby-sitter, and he's still too young to behave properly for long periods of time it's better if he stays home.
But that means that Dad is still coming!!

but coming here will be a fantastic experience for a young kid! it will be like a trip to the theme park, except it will have more magic and less vomit.

What's a theme park? Is it something like a festival? (And why would there be vomit?)
Anyway, Nawaki acts like he's on a perpetual sugar high. I don't mind it at home (he's fun when he's full of energy) but he doesn't know the meaning of the phrase "sit still". Maybe when he's a little older Mom will let him come.
My dad is a Healer and native Japanese, just like my mum. I've learned a lot about potions from him. He likes to read and he likes to learn things in and outside of books. He's reserved owing to his upbringing, but friendly. I think he'll enjoy visiting here.

oh, cool! wow, there are soooo many asian people here, huh? is it true that ninjas fight randomly on the streets and that kind of stuff is commonplace? man, i am so jealous now. i am just boring and american. :(

Ninja? No. If there are ninja running about, there aren't any in Minakami. Grandfather wouldn't stand for it. He likes things orderly and I can't see him taking well to black-clad people sneaking about.
I doubt you're boring. What's new is always interesting!
