I wasn't doing anything!

This first year wanted to show me something by the lake, and so I went out there to see what it was, and then I must've tripped on something because I was sitting in the water and the next thing I know this huge and tentacled thing comes rushing up and towards me, arms flailing at me.

I ran before it could get ahold of me.

No! One of the first years - I forget who - said they wanted to show me something down by the lake.
