I did it! I passed the basic skills portion of the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification! I got 267 out of 300 (89%) in the Reading portion, 288 out of 300 (96%) in the Math, and barely passed the Writing with 220 out of 300 (73%). The minnium passing score for each section was 220. The last two weeks have been a true adventure. My mom's brother, James L., was found in a diabetic coma March 7th. He's fine...welll...doing okay now. He was put into a nursing/rehabilitation center for a month. He was able to go home this past Friday, April 14, actually his 30 days from Social Security ran out. SO! Glenn talked to his advisor, and if all goes well, he could be graduating next spring, as in 2007. Which means possibly we could get married a year earlier...as in 2007 not 2008. I'm gonna be an aunt twice over come October. Kim and Alan stopped by yesterday with an ultra sound, it's official, I'm gonna have a peanut for a nephew. J/K. It just looked like a peanut in the ultra sound. Kim said that Hannah gets a toilet paper roll and puts it up against Kim's belly to talk to the baby. the Detroit city council is so stupid!!! They rejected a proposal from the Detroit Zoological Society in which the city would keep the zoo, but the society would pay and ran the facility. Also, the city would get $4 million from the state to help with the transfer (the city is in the hole by at least $300 million). What did one council woman say ( Read more... )

I'm starting on the path of no return...post-baccalaureate here I come. I registered for the Michigan basic skills test, got in touch with the music advisor for EMU, Dr. David Pierce, and about ready to apply to EMU. I need my mommy!!
