I made it to class. Even more importantly, I made it through class. I had chicken noodle soup for lunch, and I think it worked wonders on my soul. KIDDING. It did feel good to get something into my system, even if it was noodles and broth. I really enjoy working shorter days (6 hours vs. 8 or 10 hours). Class was good. ...is not only good for the soul, but it's good for the cold/allergies/sinus goo, etc. Try having just plain chicken broth for lunch, it does wonders!

I've heard it's good for folks in my situation...so I had some. I'm going to commandeer a can from mom & dad's (we're out!) on my way in to work.

go go chicken noodle. there is just something about it that is nice and warm and cozy in you tummy.

i'm glad class went well. i know you are just starting but do you think that this level of classes (thus far) is harder than the undergrad. stuff?

what color highlighters? that's important information to know to us... the livejournal junkies.

Graduate courses are....well....different. I've only had 2 "real" classes now, but they are taught differently from how I remember my undergraduate classes to be taught. They are in seminar form, not just lecturing and weekly quizzes. For instance, yesterday we discussed two case studies.....for approx. 2 hours. We had a bit of lecturing on Freud's background and what current trends and ideas were floating around in the culture of that day. Then we dug in. It was good.

I got a pack of several different highlighter colors. They're Sharpie brand, and they come in pink, yellow, orange, blue, green and purple. They are "smudge proof" which should help since I never write with regular ball point pens. I'm a pen snob, but you already knew that! :o)

I LOVE those highlighters. These going back to school craze made me want to organize our life and I got those too. I'm excited for you!
