She noted uneasily that they had begun to walk again... The farewell had been forgotten.

I have decided that I far too empathetic for my own good. And not even with real people (though a little of that too) but with books! With people that don't even really exist. They don't just feel real- they feel like I am them. Strange.

I read Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister this morning, and just finished off The Giver (a book I should had ( Read more... )

I loved Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, haven't read the other ones though.

It was a great book, wasn't it? I couldn't but it down.

But I am glad I'm not the only one this happens to!

I would also suggest Macguire's "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West".

Considering I have an entire journal layout, icon and mood theme from the musical based on it (And actually I've read the book, but never seen the musical)...

I need to re-read The Giver. I read it when I was thirteen...time to brush it off from the dust on my shelf.

Yes. I think it might be one of those books thats need to be read over every handful of years or so. It's good food for thought.

hey biddy,
Is your church in waterbury? on my way back from cleveland i passed a church which looked just like the one you described to me, and it was catholic. so i think it was yours, as the name waterbury was familiar. if it was, your church is reeealy pretty! I am jealous. enjoy your books which sound much to sappy for words. when are you getting your license?

Unfortunately my church is not in waterbury. Although my church in by far the most beautiful I have ever attended mass at, I think Waterbury might have churches at an ever more grand scale than Ridgefield. On the outside anyway, I have never seen the inside of a Waterbury church. Did the church you saw happen to have twin steeples?

You should read The Giver! It's a bit young for you, but I think you'd like it. Even if you don't its definitely one of those books that everyone in the world should read. It's about free will and such the like. I demand you read it!

I will get my license soon... hopefully. *crosses fingers*
