So I haven't mentioned this, but I'm going to Russia! December 13 through to January 4. Staying in Moscow, visiting Petersburg for sure, probably daytripping to Vladimir, maybe going to Stavropol of all places...any recommendations/warnings/requests for Russian consumer goods of various types? I am so excited I could pee on everyone participating

Firstly, YES. Buy Nothing Day is dumb and I always make a point to buy extra stuff on this day. As I did today. Two words: Lindt Warehouse.

Anyway, I can't believe you're going to Russia so soon! That's so exciting! Gone for the New Year! I hope I'll get to see you before you go...
