We arrived in Honolulu midday Saturday after a six hour flight from SeaTac. Bless my daughter-in-law for getting up at the first emergence of dawn and driving to Lake City from her nice warm house in Bellevue and getting us to the airport in time for security clearance before an 8am flight. We had a rental car waiting for us and managed to stumble

I've been meaning to post this for a while. As an ongoing request, if any of my local friends have prunings or storm-downs or other branches off of their fruit trees, please let me know. I need the branches or other trimmings to feed into my smoker. I love me some home smoked trout, or brisket, or whatever.
My partner is so friggin amazing it blows my mind. She defended her master's thesis today and knocked them dead. She truly displayed mastery of the material and I believe that her presentation was so good that it defused another 30-60 minutes of planned questions. Yeah, I've been hotter. Phoenix visiting my grandmother one day it got down to 100 degrees at midnight for a few minutes. Korean summers are as hot as Korean winters are cold. DC in August is heat stroke weather- 100 degrees and 100% humidity
