This website is so fucking awesome, I can't even pick my favorite parts. It's just a goldmine of anti-choice nonsense. I particularly recommend the personal testimonies of "abortion survivors" (???) and "future clinic-bombers post-abortive fathers." It's all interspersed with some top quality gender essentialism that will make you want to hit ( Read more... )

And it's got a link to OptionLine on it, a known anti-choice site set up to look like it's pro-choice.

I love this bit:

"Abortion is serious and permanent. There's no turning back, so don't be pushed or influenced by others."

V.S.

"If you're not ready to be a parent, adoption allows you to do something courageous and compassionate and gives you a second chance to finish growing up yourself."

Now, click on each of those. If you clicked abortion? Be ready to be bombarded with pictures of unhappy women. Looking sad. Confused. Followed by horror stories from doctors and from people who are survivors (in other words they know a family member who's had an abortion(s)). If you clicked adoption? Happy people! Kids running and playing! Teens happily texting together!

And my favorite "Abortion Survivor!" story? Ashley. Why? Let's break it down a bit.

My mother had an abortion before she had me. Not too long after, she found out she was pregnant again. She decided that time to go for adoption instead of abortion. However, at the last minute she changed her mind, so I live with her now.Yes. I live with her now. Not she carried me for nine ( ... )

Breanna: I was 12 years old when I found out my aunt had tried to abort my cousin, Sean, who is now 5 years old. I was devastated, but the news I heard next was even worse. I learned she had already aborted three previous children who would have been my beautiful cousins...I stand against abortion. Knowing that three of my cousins were aborted and Sean was almost aborted hurts me deeply. So, girls, know that when you abort, it affects everyone, not just you and your child.I I I I I ME ME ME ME ME I I I I I ME ME ME. Wait, why do you ask what my aunt wanted? She's just the womb! Her opinion isn't as important as mine because WAAAAH MAH POOR BORSHUNATED COUSINS! My life is awful because I just learned that years ago clumps of cells didn't gestate ( ... )
