So long as by "have the baby" you mean "die in the hospital, of course taking the 11-wk-fetus with you, because despite what various pro-life sites may say, an 11-wk fetus is not viable outside the womb."

Regardless of the church's position on fetal life, the choice was between having one person die or two people die. The church has firmly said that two people should die. Can we stop pretending that they value life in any way now?

Hey now, they're just trying to give GAWD a chance to do a miracle and save them both, against all odds and the laws of nature. You know, the same way they make all sick Catholics go without medical care and rely on miracles instead.

The catholic church is ALL about saving kids lives - where else do they get a fresh supply to molest?...

Fucking HATE those wankers.

"In the decision to abort, the equal dignity of mother and her baby were not both upheld"

Okay, I'm not a doctor... but if I was told that the human being lying in front of me WILL DIE unless I do one simple surgical procedure, how on earth could I consider it to be more "dignified" to just step back and allow her to die---slowly and horribly---of a preventable problem?!

And, FFS---eleven weeks? Not even three months? The fetus isn't yet the size of my toenail, and they're equating it with a viable "baby"?
