Great article!

BUT WAIT. NPs can provide abortions in some states? Here I am, prepping for the MCAT because I thought I had to be an MD to provide abortions, and I find out that I have not done my research properly at all?! Geez, this could change my whole game plan.

Great article. Only one thing I would pick her up on -- I have, in the past, thought, "Oh, who cares, I'll take care of it."

But, no hierarchy of abortion, right?

I have, in the past, thought, "Oh, who cares, I'll take care of it."

so have I. And I did!

I had the same quibble, and it's one that does bother me a lot because EVERYONE says it and it's NOT TRUE. Some of us consider the risk of having to have an abortion to not be that big of a deal. Similarly, I don't floss cause I'm lazy and I figure if I get a cavity from it I'll get it filled, no big deal.

I am tired of hearing about how women take this decision VERY SERIOUSLY.

As though we should prevent people from making decisions they are not VERY SERIOUS about.

EXACTLY. "Oh, well, as long as women are thinking about it that's okay!" is the kind of thinking that lets fucking antichoicers make waiting periods and forced sonograms sound like "reasonable" propositions.
