"Kissing the Witch," by Donoghue.

"Griffin and Sabine," including the 6 others in the series, by Bantock. Pleasing to the eye and to the mind.

And for grins...

"This Book Will Change Your Life," by Benrik. truely enjoyable.

The Legacy of Luna - Julia Butterfly Hill
The Stranger - Albert Camus
The Rebel - Albert Camus
Candy - Mian Mian (I highly HIGHLY reccommend this. It will fucking change your life)
Black Coffee Blues - Henry Rollins
The Virgin Suicides - Jeffery Eugenides

That's all I can think of for now, but they're all awesome books. <3 <3 <3

it's lovely that you suggested so much camus because i really enjoyed "the plague" when i read it and i really should've remememberd to read his other work; i've just been lazy.

and the virgin suicides! oh oh oh! not only such a good film, but yes, an amazing book. thank you for the rest of the suggestions.

I really like Douglas Coupland, but you might have read him already. Maybe Camus if you haven't read him or try reading A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I don't know. I liked it.

i just responded to someone else that i really enjoyed reading camus' "the plague", and i just sort of forgot to look up his other work. i actually read "a tree grows in brooklyn" in mhy 5th grade english class (heavy stuff, but whatever, i went to catholic school) and i liked it so much that i picked it up again last year. AMAZING, still.
