i am choosing nail school AND regular school, so i have a craft and skill that i can use for the rest of my life, when i am between jobs that involve the intellectual skills that i learn at university.
You make more money as a nail technician than as a person who, essentially, effectively manages people and operations while working less. That doesn't make sense to me.
But hey, who am I to question something fairly illogical. You're taking advantage of it and will soon be pursuing a degree. Good for you. Go get em.
i don't work off salary as most managers in my field do, which is my biggest incentive to move to a comissioned nail technician job. i KNOW i can make high comission, whereas my HOURLY wage is going to remain the same for quite awhile.

non-salaried managers and commissioned nail techs. Makes sense.

Good thing my brother is a doctor, or the 1st generation Pua's in the US wouldn't fit the asian lifestyle.
