omg there's a rat in our attic too! i can hear it scratching/chewing the wood above the foot of my bed at night (gross!)

oh, and it's peed in the smoke detectors, and caused them to rust, which means they'll go off intermittently (sp??) once or twice a week. of course it's only at like 3am when i've slipped into deep sleep and it scares me awake so i can't go back to sleep

damn rats.

that is one of the worst sounds ever. the other house we lived in there was a big rat or a skunk living in the bathroom wall. it nested there or something and my dog killed it and it gave her worms :| she's better now though, plus we moved thank god!
